Tóth Vendégház

There’s a restaurant, shop and bakery nearby, plus hiking and activities for children. The house was spacious, very clean and well equipped for nine people. The hosts were flexible and ready to help if we needed anything. A lovely place.

The rooms were clean, the cars were safely kept behind a metal fence, and there’s a small kitchen and shared bathroom. The sofa beds were a bit hard. The gentleman was very friendly, but even simple sentences in English got no response. If you don’t speak Hungarian, be ready for a language barrier.

We stayed one night, and the price was extremely cheap. It’s in the attic on a quiet street, with the owner living downstairs, though that didn’t bother us at all. Our host was a really nice lady. The rooms had been renovated, while the bathroom and kitchen still had a slightly retro look. They’re planning to renovate those too. I’d happily come back and recommend it.

We had comfortable beds and our room felt especially pleasant. I did miss having air conditioning, though the landscape meant we later found we didn’t really need it. The place was spotless and orderly, and the host was extremely kind, polite and courteous. There were no children’s programs among the TV channels, which could be a problem in bad weather or for families with younger children. It’s a calm, pleasant place to stay.
