The dinner was the letdown. I’d looked at the pictures and expected fine dining, but for 5000 HUF we got what was basically a chicken salad, followed by two pancakes for dessert. That felt far too expensive. Breakfast was alright. The place itself is wonderful, right at the edge of the village with forest all around, and it makes a great weekend getaway. The family who own it were all very nice and friendly when we met them. Their hospitality is unquestionable. Nice place, nice people.

A hiking trail starts right at the edge of the property, and the kitchen serves really tasty food. The rooms are tidy and clean, and the staff are friendly and professional. It’s a beautiful little place, exceptionally peaceful and quiet, with perfect WiFi coverage throughout the hotel and no dead spots.

The restaurant dishes are decent, and the rooms are stylish and clean. It’s a calm, peaceful spot right next to the forest. Bring your own shower gel and shampoo.

The location is beautiful, and the facilities and rooms are great, but the service quality is terrible. Management is inflexible and arrogant, and the price-quality ratio is very poor. You only get one room key, however many guests there are. When I asked for another, the manager just said, “I said there is no more.” Food orders are handled rigidly, with no changes allowed to the meals, though the quality is OK. Service is very, very slow. Even when the place is full, there’s only one staff member, who serves in the restaurant, prepares breakfast, and works reception too. The bar closes at 9pm, and you’re not allowed to have your own drinks on the terrace. The pillow on the bed is very small and soft, and if you ask for an extra one or for the towels to be changed, you have to pay extra.
