Adele Boutique Hotel

The hotel is on a quiet lane, about a five-minute walk from the center, but finding the entrance was confusing. Google Maps led us to the apartments across the street, and it took us a while to locate the actual hotel reception. Our suite was spacious, and the air conditioning worked well. The bed was very uncomfortable, sagging with dips at the sides, and the pillows were small and badly misshapen. There were no bathroom amenities, not even a small bottle of water. Hot water took so long that I ended up showering cold. Breakfast was stale, cold food and coffee from a self-service machine. Apart from the location, I don’t understand the high ratings for this place.

The rooms were clean and nice, though I found them old-fashioned, with high ceilings that I personally don’t like. The bathroom floor heating is handy, the WiFi is great, and the restaurant is cozy with a good food selection. They have hot chocolate at breakfast, but it could taste better. From the first-floor rooms facing the street, you don’t feel very private. The location is excellent, just two minutes from the main square, and parking is very good for such a central spot.

One of our favorite hotels. I just wish they didn’t use fragrance. I have perfume allergies, and that could decide whether we come back next time. 🫣😢😢

It has the feel of a family run house, with lovely interiors and care given to the little details. Rooms are spread over three floors, and there’s an elevator. The reception offers free water and some nuts, and German TV is available. The breakfast buffet is small, but has something to suit every taste. The attentive staff speak German and/or English very well. The hotel is within walking distance of the city center, with its beautiful old and restored buildings.
