Gilice Panzio And Etterem

Good food and a pleasant pension.

Really great!

We chose Gilice Pension for the Fishing Festival, and I'm so glad we did. Breakfast was fresh, generous, and different each morning. Our room was comfortable and clean, too. Such a lovely little spot tucked into the forest. We'd happily come back and I absolutely recommend it! :)

Being out in nature feels like a basic need, and this place makes it easier for people who feel that way. It sits in the forest right on the South Transdanubian Blue Circle, which is just what a hiker needs, especially if they want to pack light for a couple of days. The path is marked for blue belt hikers, in case that badge matters to you. Csilla and Tünde took wonderful care of me. I know from experience how much work and sacrifice that kind of care takes. I was the only guest on a weekday in March, but they still welcomed me for dinner and a night without any fuss. They had no idea I was a quality inspector. Kidding, I'm not. The place itself is really high quality, and breakfast's oyster mushroom scrambled eggs were divine. I'm not usually one to use words like that, because I don't want to wear them out, but there you go. I recommend staying here wholeheartedly. I even detoured to the Meleg-mány waterfall, and I'm glad I did.
