Grey Suites Pecs

A few things to know before booking: our apartment was on the second floor and there was no elevator. That wasn't an issue for us, though it might be hard for older guests or a family with very young kids. Parking spots are rather small, so let the owner know ahead of time if your car is really big. They'll try to work out a suitable option. The apartment was very clean and had all the basics we needed, including a fridge, dishwasher, and washing machine. Staff were keen to help. Shops of different sizes are nearby, and it's a handy base for exploring the region. The historic center and main sights are only a few minutes away on foot.

Aside from dust under the beds and what looked like leftover food in the oven, it was a great place to stay. The room itself was pretty nice.

The check-in was flexible and the service was good. The apartment was comfortable, clean, nicely equipped, and very nice overall. I'd gladly recommend it.

The parking seemed good outside busy hours, but although it was laid out for ten cars, in practice only five could fit. And the garden access from the ground-floor unit led to a small street-facing patch with a strip of paving, two lousy chairs, and nowhere people would actually want to sit. The pictures of the apartments seemed mixed up: only one room matched its photos, while the other was completely different and smaller. The photos made the place look lovely, though I suspect they were taken when the apartments were new. What we found was dirty. There were dusty cobwebs on the dining-room lamp and in a corner, plus more dust and a plastic bottle left under the bed by a previous guest. The wall, especially beside the bed, was stained. The bed was uncomfortable, and both the bedding and bedspread had stains. The living-room sofa was so uncomfortable you felt like you were sliding off it. Dining chairs looked like junkyard finds, with worn, torn, dirty faux leather peeling away. There was barely enough dish soap for one wash, and I can't imagine cheaper toilet paper. There was no broom or mop to clean the floor. I won't be going back.
