Minaret Residence & Relax Pecs

We arrived during peak hours and someone was there at reception to welcome us. Check-in was easy too, since they sent the entrance and room codes ahead of time. The room was spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen and a minibar at very reasonable prices. Pécsi beer was a nice surprise, and the water or beer came in handy for a late-night arrival. A cozy little hotel. Slippers and toothpaste would’ve been a nice extra, but it’s a small thing. I had a great stay and recommend it.

We were there for three nights in room 25 on the second floor, though a surprise staircase inside the room meant it felt like the third. The apartment was spotless and nicely furnished, with a pleasant living room, two bedrooms, a bathroom, a tiny kitchen, and a corridor. Even the fridge, glasses, and every corner were super clean, and the price felt fair for the quality. It’s very close to the main square of Pécs, Széchenyi tér, on a busy street that’s less attractive. Parking on workdays is an issue, but the hotel provides information about it. Everything was high-tech and key-card-driven, with all the information displayed, but there was no reception. It would’ve been nice to have a human face around for a few hours, for example to ask where to buy coffee caps for the kitchen machine. The staff members we did meet were really kind and helpful. It was a perfect base for a relaxing city visit, highly recommended.

The location is great, and the place is spacious. Our room was clean and looked like the photos. Service was quick, and they were very nice about letting us in a little before check-in so we could leave our belongings. We couldn’t use the sauna because the available times didn’t work for us. I’d suggest booking it when you reserve the room.

A sweet little escape, with comfortable, roomy, very clean rooms and a modern layout. The small kitchen had everything we needed. Staff were polite and kept our luggage at the hotel until it was time to leave the city.
