For the price, this centrally located ibis is hard to beat, and it’s one of the better ibis hotels I’ve stayed in across different cities. Check-in went smoothly, and we got into our room about an hour early. The shower temperature was unpredictable, switching from warm to scalding while it was running. Still, it was a really good choice.

The room had a terrific view of Budapest both day and night, plus a modern TV, complimentary water and a fridge magnet. I’d booked for the night before my flight because I wanted a central spot with good airport connections. At check-in, the two very nice receptionists told me I was the Guest of the Day and gave me a room with a view. They also answered my questions about getting to the airport. A great stay.

The room was great for size and cleanliness, and it had a smart TV. The hotel is superbly placed: the airport bus, trams and other buses are all about a three-minute walk away, while Central Market is 7-8 minutes on foot. There are plenty of groceries and restaurants right in front of the hotel. Staff were normal.

I really enjoyed my three days here. The rooms were clean, and the water pressure and temperature were good. It’s close to transport, shopping and local amenities, with a decent breakfast and a bar serving snacks around the clock. The staff were friendly too.

The room was small but clean, and it even had a hair dryer. The hotel is around the corner from metro and bus stops, which was very handy. I also liked having reception open 24 hours, especially for an early morning trip. Breakfast isn’t part of the cheapest rates, but you can add it at the hotel if you change your mind. Booking is essential, as they were full even on a weekday.
