The hillside makes a great yoga spot, and the cats are very cute. Our host was lovely and flexible. It was really restful to sleep there when there wasn't a disco in town. We did spot a few spiders on the ceiling, but we left each other alone.

The place had a cozy atmosphere, and the people working there were really nice. Our accommodation was clean, comfortable, and well equipped, with breakfast and dinner available, plus a bar. You can also buy ice cream outside the building. The castle was just 50 m away, with restaurants 100-200 m off and bike rental about 100 m away. There's also a private area where you can eat. We couldn't have picked a better place for our visit to Sárospatak as a couple. I'd recommend it to anyone! :)

There's a restaurant on site and parking too. When it's busy, the food can take a little while, but that's understandable since it's not fast food. The owner is a kind, old-fashioned man who really cares about his guests. The place is right by the castle and basilica, and it's centrally located with very good value for money.

We liked the clean, pleasant rooms and the kind host. My only reason for giving four stars is the smoking area by the entrance. To protect children and non-smokers, I'd move it to the garden behind the house, or remove it altogether, since smoking is already allowed on the restaurant terrace.
