Aranyhal apartman

I would have rated the stay four stars if checkout had gone as agreed. I booked by phone and we arranged a late checkout, and I also sent an SMS with our requirements. On the last day, a woman arrived at 2 o'clock asking whether we were still there, then charged me for another half day. We also couldn't get in through the closed gate when we arrived, so the arrival didn't happen as promised. That felt unfair, and I can't recommend the place.

The owner was kind and helpful throughout our family holiday, and the apartment was clean, nicely furnished, and well equipped. My daughter loved the children's climbing frames, and we enjoyed a barbecue in the gazebo. There was plenty of parking in the garden too. We spent a wonderful week here and can happily recommend it. Thank you!

This was disgraceful. The listing said to pay at the accommodation, but the owner called and demanded that I transfer the full fee before we arrived, threatening to cancel the reservation a day beforehand if I didn't. We discussed him sending his account number, but he never did. He cancelled on a holiday and blocked me, then the accommodation showed up at double the price. I consider this financially dishonest and wouldn't recommend these scammers.

The largest apartment had comfortable beds and rooms of a decent size, but the living room's two-seat sofa felt too small for five or six people. We could also have used smaller pillows and an extra blanket or pillow. There wasn't enough toilet paper, and there were no toiletries or cleaning supplies beyond liquid soap, including disinfectants for COVID. There's no oven either, something we'd have liked to know in advance. The towels were the most absurd part: about 50x50 cm, more like something for washing your feet than drying off after a shower or washing your hair after the beach. After a minor accident we had to wash a bed protector, and the water came out black, so who knows when it was last cleaned. The owner had said he'd look after us in his absence, but we didn't see him until we were leaving, so there was no chance to mention any of this. With a little attention, these issues could be fixed. It felt like they were cutting costs in areas where better places don't. We won't be back.
