Harmonia Termal Hotel Sarvar

We used to think this was the best restaurant in Sarvar, even better than Onyx, but now it's a total disappointment. The new menu at the Harmony Hotel restaurant feels unfinished, and the dishes bring to mind a Soviet-era canteen. Please take this review to the restaurant owner. Bring back the former chef and menu. There's no reason for us to come here now.

We ended up rearranging the next day's schedule around this restaurant's opening time, and it was worth it. The second visit was just as enjoyable, with even more delicious food, especially the duck, which I'd recommend. The presentation was lovely again. Our waitress seemed new and made a few small mistakes, but she was very kind, and the service still beat what I've had in most fancy restaurants. On our first visit, the place was packed for the holidays, yet the waiters handled it splendidly, especially the one assigned to our table. We ordered Halászlé and steak with green pepper sauce and young pea pods. I'm fussy about Halászlé, and this was one of the best non-bajai versions I've had in a restaurant. Being able to choose among several fish for the base was a nice bonus. The steak tasted great and was beautifully presented. We'd been unsure at first because the “superior” label didn't fit the price range we had in mind. We'd paid more before in the city for a decent, though not outstanding, restaurant. This meal turned out to be one of our best restaurant experiences in a long time. The kitchen is outstanding, and the service is good and friendly. Prices are a little above average, but the value is more than excellent.

The food is really good, and the quality is great for the price. Portions seem generous for most dishes, though mine was more medium-sized. We got two main courses in just 10 minutes, so the service was extremely fast. The staff were kind, even if they didn't seem especially happy. I've been to better places, but this is still a good restaurant. I've only eaten here, not stayed overnight.

It's a quiet place, and it's close to the thermal center. They only speak German, not English. The rooms and service weren't fantastic, and breakfast was a standard buffet.
