Onyx Luxury

The restaurant food was better last year, though it's still a good choice. We got the usual good service, a clean room, and a prime spot near the Sárvár Thermál. Can only recommend.

The restaurant was superb, with generous portions that looked great. Staff were extremely friendly and polite. The place is very clean and well maintained. Totally recommend.

The suite with a jacuzzi was awesome, and the location was great. The service, though, really let us down. We booked a premium room and didn't expect an extra charge for parking, and the hotel's spa also cost extra. There weren't any bathrobes or slippers in the room, so we had to ask for them. That seemed odd for a room with a jacuzzi. We had half-board. Breakfast was fine, but dinner was very bad. It was a buffet with little choice, and most of the food was cold or poor, including dry chicken and extremely salty fish. We booked on the website, then later found out we could have paid half as much through Booking. Oh well.

There are several food and restaurant options nearby, and the hotel has Android TVs so you can watch your own shows. English instructions are provided for everything, though some translations are laughably bad. Reading them all was fun. The rooms were clean, but the hotel is spread across buildings on both sides of a busy road, and reception is only in one of them. Food is catered by an outside provider, so you can't put restaurant charges on your room. Parking is available, but charging an electric car isn't convenient. The wellness area is tiny, though the thermal bath is close. We had a good time and this is a good place, but it misses some of the charming small-town feel it could have had.
