Belvarosi Panzio

Getting here from the highway was easy, and even though we arrived or left late, we were treated very nicely. The room accommodated all four of us, and breakfast was generous. We also received very good restaurant and beach recommendations.

Everyone was very kind, and breakfast was fine, a small buffet. The coffee was really good 😁 Our room and the bathroom looked old, but both were clean. The stairwell had a strong mold smell, which was really unpleasant, even though our room itself didn't have it.

The host made us feel very welcome, and we had a decent breakfast. The place was clean and very nice, on the main street, which wasn't too noisy. It's also close to the city center and the lake.

We booked for two adults and a child. The booking price was unusually low, perhaps by mistake, though I don't know. We were prepared to accept that and pay a higher amount at the property if asked. We also asked about breakfast because we planned to sleep and eat before continuing our drive to Italy. They said reception closed at 20:00, so we pushed ourselves to drive 500 km and arrive on time, with no stops and at the speed limit. They knew we were coming from far away, and I'd told them we'd arrive around 20:00, possibly a few minutes before or after. They didn't object then. After leaving Budapest, our GPS estimated 20:11. I messaged the property with the ETA, and they replied that they closed at 20:00. The estimate then shifted to 20:09, so we called to ask if they'd wait ten minutes or perhaps less, since the highway was clear and we might get there sooner. They said they couldn't. I explained that we were exhausted after driving 500 km without stopping and had a child with us. They hung up on us. We were shocked by how inhumanely we were treated, and I hope this business shuts down. We quickly found another place rated 9.0 on Booking, breakfast included, for about 60 EUR. Don't go here. I don't recommend it because they really don't care about their clients at all. :( I'm just so curious whether they'll charge us the booking fee...
