The welcome started with a complimentary beer and lemonade, but the stay quickly deteriorated. Our room looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks: dust and cobwebs everywhere, torn sheets, stained blankets, and hair on the bed and dirty pillow covers. When we raised it with the owners, the woman owner swore at us and used racial slurs instead of offering to clean. We were told to leave and never return to the place or “their” country. They did refund us, but we were left without somewhere to sleep that night. I’m not sure how hotel ratings work in Hungary, but this is nowhere near the advertised four stars. Even if the room had been clean, I’d put it closer to two stars.

We came over from England for the lovely Balaton area and had a great time here. The manager and staff did everything they could to make our stay pleasant, and the food was delicious. They even let us extend our stay at short notice. Thanks to everyone for the kind service, it made the trip really enjoyable. 😁

It has such a warm, relaxed feel, and the staff are always around and ready to help. Breakfast was delicious, and you’re met with a smile. If something urgent comes up, someone will lend a hand. I recommend it wholeheartedly ❤️

The goulash was nicely traditional, and the sides went well with it.
