The hotel looked nice and the price seemed good, but my confirmed booking was cancelled just eight days before my holiday. They only emailed me to say it was off, so after travelling from London I had to start looking for somewhere else to stay. The payment apparently didn't go through. They accept any card on the website, then tell you eight days beforehand, "sorry, we can not take this card." I wouldn't book a holiday here because you can't be sure you'll have a place to stay.

The rooms were tidy, the bed was comfortable, and breakfast at Villa Jokai was good. The breakfast staff were especially friendly. Dinner at Roxy Restaurant was inexhaustible, which is a really bad combination when it comes to co-operation.

The room was old-fashioned and medium-sized, and at 68 euro it didn't feel like good value. Wi-Fi didn't work at all, there were cobwebs in the corners, and the lights were out in one of our rooms. The towels were dirty, as in the photo. Check-in was way too complicated. We were given an address, but when we arrived the building was dark and closed. After calling the hotel, they sent us to another nearby address just to collect the key. Then we had to go back to the first building and enter a code at the road gate to get into the parking. We ended up with three keys, for the gate, front door, and room. I'd avoid this place in future.

It's a clean, basic B&B in a great spot and good value for money. Breakfast is served at another hotel five minutes away, with a good selection. Street noise might bother you if you're sensitive to it.

In the heart of Siofok, the villa is just 50 meters from the beach. It's lovely and cozy, and breakfast was delicious with tasty Italian coffee.
