There’s lots to do in the lovely natural surroundings, about an eight-minute walk away. The hotel is worn and could use a thorough remodel, though. There’s no restaurant on site, but a very good one is around a three-minute walk away. I’d recommend the place if you’re not looking for anything fancy or planning to spend all day in your room.

We only stayed one night, so I can’t be sure, but most of the guests seemed to be elderly. Outside, the place looked fine and the neighborhood seemed quiet. We booked two apartments, and both were quite worn down. A wall shelf even fell off. At least we had a quiet balcony. They pointed us to a good local home restaurant nearby, where we had great local food. Was it worth the money? Yes, though you can find better. Stayed August 2014.

Management seemed poor, with staff changing all the time and things like elevator construction in a three-level building. The administration wasn’t friendly either. They take a 10,000 HUF deposit, which is returned when you leave, but only after the room attendant checks the apartment.

The hotel sits on a hillside. The room was spacious and had a balcony, but it was dated. In winter, apart from a small reception room, there was virtually nothing else at the site.

The room internet is awful, and neither the Wi-Fi nor the mobile network works well. The price doesn’t fit the conditions. It takes a 30-minute walk to reach the nearest supermarket, and there’s no public transport!
