I was doubtful about all those 5-star Google ratings, but now I have to agree with them. This is the most down-to-earth fine dining restaurant I’ve tried. Every dish my wife and I had was excellent, without being overcomplicated, and each had a little twist. The service was perfect and humble, too. This hidden gem is worth a visit.

The food is consistently high quality, and the service has been excellent over the years. It’s Hungarian cuisine renewed at its best, and the wines and other drinks are great as well. A place with soul, imagination, and care. Always worth a visit.

Noresa was a surprisingly refined restaurant experience in a pleasant rural setting, and one of the most exclusive meals I’ve had in Hungary for a long time. I was there for a business event, so the dishes went beyond the regular menu. I can’t judge what I might have chosen on my own, but the food seemed thoughtfully designed, prepared, and served, with both science and artistry, at affordable prices. Chef Norbert told me he had lived in France before moving to Hungary, bringing the best of French dining to a country “so far” away. I can hardly wait to return, and recommend it to anyone after a nice walk around one of the loveliest lakes in the Szalka hills.

The room was simple and clean, and breakfast was lovely, with fresh-baked bread and a flaky croissant. I was surprised to find such a gem in a tiny village out in the countryside. It made a perfect weekend escape from Budapest, and a great base for wine tastings and winery tours.
