Hotel Laguna Pension is conveniently placed for a stop while crossing Hungary on the way to Croatia, and Lake Balaton is about 800 m away. We found the rooms good for the price, especially for just one night. Breakfast was included, with cheese, cold cuts, bread and rolls, cereal, fruit, vegetables, plus coffee and tea. The host was very friendly and always smiling, which made the stay more pleasant. Good value and a comfortable place to stay.

We spent three nights here in October and got the best rest I've ever had in a hotel. It's pet friendly, and the receptionist was very warm and friendly. We went sightseeing during the day, then spent the evenings playing pool and table football in the lobby, free of charge. There's also a sauna and a swimming pool. A really nice stay.

My family and I stayed here once not long ago. The beds were fine and we slept well, the food at breakfast was good enough, and there was a choice, even if it wasn't a huge spread. Breakfast was maybe between 8 and 10. The staff were kind, the pool was big enough, and parking never filled up. Two supermarkets are about 100 m away, and the beach is a 10-minute walk. Getting there by car was tricky because of the hotel's position by the main road and its direction. The lobby was strangely dark when we arrived, and the retro decor everywhere made the place feel like a hotel from the '90s. We got the smallest room on the floor, seemingly meant for two, despite traveling as a family. The air conditioner also turned out to cost extra to use. If I owned the place, I'd update its appearance. We had a good time at Balaton, but I wouldn't particularly recommend this hotel. Still, it could suit someone who doesn't want to spend much.
