This place feels ancient, like something built and decorated in the Ottoman Empire, and it smells like a Roman sewer. They spoke English when we made the reservation, but once we asked for help with the sewage smell in the bathroom, suddenly nobody could speak English. They also said they had ways to make us pay, which felt mafia-like. Save your money and the headache. This place is a dump, really dirty and unpleasant.

I had a booking through Booking, but couldn't get in when I arrived. I called and a very unfriendly woman told me they had no room. These people should find regular jobs. I hope they go bankrupt soon!

We didn't expect much because it was cheap, though we'd previously stayed at the forest edge social camp and felt comfortable there. This accommodation was seriously underrated. The advertised parking wasn't available, and the owner was barely welcoming, even grumpy. We only got through to them after calling for 15 minutes. The entrance door was broken, and at 6.5 months pregnant I struggled to get through it. The walls were moldy, the bathroom smelled of sewage, even worse than the already unpleasant water in Szeged, and the bathroom tap barely ran. The bed linen was stained and couldn't be changed. The two stars are for the genuinely nice, smiling employee we saw at checkout the next day, the low price since our two children under 6 weren't charged, and the fact that we could mostly be left alone. There was no cleaning or maintenance, though some cleaning in the shared kitchen would have been welcome. We stayed three nights.
