We found the house welcoming, though a bit cold, and the conditions were good for a stopover. The location is isolated, but Waze Navigation got us there. The host was very friendly; she only spoke Hungarian and Russian, but we managed to understand each other in the end.

We had a lot of trouble with the basics here. There was no toilet paper, dish soap, coffee or sugar, and the dishes in the drawers were dirty. The cups smelled odd, so we went into town to buy supplies and had to wash everything before using it. There were also a lot of mosquitoes, with no anti-mosquito device provided. I’m not asking anyone to stop nature, but the owner could have offered even a basic repellent device. The bathroom boiler only had enough hot water for about three showers, despite the place being rented to eight people. We had to work out a shower schedule and wait for the water to heat again. The owner said there was heating, but the pipes stayed cold and we couldn’t access the thermostat. Luckily, there were two air conditioners, so we left them running. We wanted to make pizza, but the electric oven was broken. We tried the microwave, which seemed to be the cheapest kind, and the pizza came out terrible. The gas stove’s tank had very low pressure, and there was a smell of gas in the air. We’d also asked the owner about having a barbecue, and he said everything was available. What we found was a very cheap grill in the shed, with no wood, starter paper or anything else, just an empty gas tank.

The host was kind and helpful, and the place had everything we needed for a self-catering stay. It’s right by the Tisza River, in a clean, quiet and peaceful setting.

I had a really good time here with my friends. They’re all so smart, and I can stand them! They even brought me some eggs after we forgot ours at home.
