For the price, this is definitely one of the best hotels in Szekszárd. You can walk to the main square, but it’s far enough away that noise isn’t an issue. The room was good and had a TV and free wifi. A couple of small things, like the showerhead and tap, need replacing, but it’s still a worthwhile place to stay. Breakfast was impressive.

The price and location were fine, but communication was difficult because the staff didn’t speak English. I’d requested vegan breakfast options, but they were served only once during my five-day stay. On the other days I had to bring my own food, unless I wanted toast and jam several mornings in a row. They also chose to renovate all the stairs at once, instead of keeping some comfortable access for guests. The rooms and bathrooms could use a refresh.

Fair price and clean. The people were nice, but I felt misled: before check-in, both on the phone and in person, I asked if I could pay in euros and get an invoice in euros. They said yes. At checkout, it turned out that wasn’t possible, and I was given only a kind of handwritten, printed DIY invoice.

The staff were nice, it was clean, and there’s parking in the inner courtyard. The price was top notch, but the furniture is older and breakfast is basic.

The reception staff were nice, and breakfast was good. The first night, though, the heating wasn't working well and the bathroom lights kept flickering.
