We had a pleasant family stay. The spa is well equipped, and the tunnel connecting the separate buildings adds a bit of fun. Meals are buffet style, with traditional Hungarian food that’s mostly meat based. The staff are nice if you ask for a vegetarian version of some dishes. Dinner also comes with a choice of unlimited wine, and breakfast was good.

We were satisfied with our first weekend away together at a hotel. The food was delicious, apart from the chicken dishes, which were too dry, and the complimentary wine was surprisingly tasty. The pools and sauna were nice, though the wellness area gets very crowded during the day. The walls are extremely thin, so you can hear everything from the next room, and some things look old and used, so the place could do with a redesign or renewal. There are issues, and people with high expectations should avoid it. For us, it was more than okay.

A nightmare. I arrived at 9 p.m. and the room wasn’t ready. It was dirty, there was no soap or bedsheet, and the air conditioner was full of dust. The receptionist only knew two words in English, and nobody at the restaurant spoke it at all. I do not recommend this at all.

The Hungarian food was delicious, and the waiters were really friendly. Parking is free across the little street. Sorry the photo is of the one dish that wasn’t typically Hungarian, but mine was the first to get eaten.

You can hear every noise from the rooms next door. Sleeping here feels like being in a railway station. The bathroom heating didn’t work in the middle of January, and the receptionist couldn’t speak English when we wanted to complain. Two adults ordered two glasses of wine, but only one arrived. I guess that says enough.
