Nádasdi Ház

The breakfast was poor, with too little variety and quality, and the woman serving it seemed angry and didn’t know basic English. There was no English breakfast tea, though other teas were available. The room smelled really bad, and the beds had towel-like sheets instead of cotton ones, which didn’t feel healthy or comfortable. It was very cold in November because the heaters didn’t work. We arrived around 23:00 and found nobody at the door. After we called, he came an hour later, leaving us outside in the cold. We didn’t see anyone at the desk during our stay. In my opinion, this shouldn’t be a hotel. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The room was a decent size and the decor was okay, but the pillows, covers, and heating system all had problems. Breakfast was limited, and on our last morning there wasn’t even black tea. When I asked, the woman serving breakfast just said no :). She wasn’t polite and didn’t speak English. The biggest surprise was finding that there was no evening reception. We waited an hour for staff to open the door. What would happen in an emergency? Anyway, quite an unforgettable experience. :)

Our family room at Nádasdi Ház was clean and the beds were comfortable, so we were very happy with our overnight stay. Gábor was a friendly, helpful host. We’d happily stay there again.

There isn’t really a communal area, and the staff made us feel a bit like a burden. Check-in had to be right on time, and check-out was even less flexible. The street-side room gets plenty of light. Facilities are basic but very clean, though the shower takes a while to warm up and the hot water runs out after some time. The accommodating restaurant downstairs serves breakfast à la carte until 10am and pizzas until midnight.
