The wine cellar and tasting room were cozy, and the food pairing was very good. Tibor is passionate and loves to talk. I visited in the summer some time ago, and the Szekszárd wines were top tier. Production is small, so you can find them in some of the best Budapest restaurants or here at the winery. A highly recommended stop for anyone looking for premium Bordeaux blends from Szekszárd.

For anyone who likes red wine, this is a must-visit. Pastor Garage Winery feels like a hidden gem if you’re tired of the more industrial atmosphere at the “big” wineries. It’s one of the greatest wineries in Szekszárd, and maybe in Hungary. The owner and winemaker, Tibor Juhász, knows his stuff, is open-minded, and above all really passionate about wine.

I’ve known Tibor, the owner of Pastor Garage Winery, for years. He’s arguably one of the warmest and friendliest people, and the hospitality is great. It’s always a lovely place. You can book an apartment, a winery and vineyard visit, and food with a wine tasting.

We had a great evening at Tibor Juhász’s place. His wines are hard to resist, and there isn’t a weak one in the selection. He’s part of the rising generation of Szekszárd winemakers and puts incredible passion and intensity into his work.
