The staff were welcoming and very friendly, and most spoke good English. Breakfast was nice, with a good continental selection plus bacon and eggs or sausage and eggs each day. It's an easy walk to Tata and the lakes, and there are two train stations about 25-30 minutes away on foot. A friend booked directly, so I got a good rate, and the stay suited me well overall. My room on the second floor was a good size, with a little balcony at the back. There was a kettle, microwave, and fridge, but no tea or coffee, so you'd need to buy your own. Local shops are only five minutes away. The bed was low, the quilts didn't fit it properly, and the bedside table blocked the balcony door. I also couldn't use the socket by the bed because of its position. The carpet and decor felt a bit dated. Those were minor issues, though. The hotel was comfortable, clean, and in a quiet location.

The rooms are large, with comfortable beds and a huge TV, and the place has a cozy, quirky vintage feel. It was quite cheap too. The bathroom let it down a bit, though: cramped, with a very narrow shower, and it could have been cleaner.

The room stayed bright even with all the lights off, because the curtains were so thin they barely blocked the light, and there was a light just outside the window. I didn't sleep well, and my baby boy woke much earlier than usual.

The staff were awesome, and breakfast was great. The room was clean and comfortable, with free WiFi, and historical sites and plenty of restaurants were within walking distance. It was a great stay, and my first choice if I come back to Tata.

The scenery was beautiful, and the staff were wonderfully friendly, which made the stay very comfortable. It was the best experience and one I won't forget.
