Hotel Kiss

The food was the best part of my stay. Both the restaurant and breakfast were excellent, with delicious, typical Hungarian dishes, and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The bed was super comfortable, so I slept well. Hotel Kiss feels like an average three-star hotel. The look is ordinary, and the property is a bit old and dated. The bathrooms could use updating and a better clean. I should mention I was there on a business trip, and my company booked the hotel for me.

A fine hotel with a clean room and a safe available. Staff were friendly, and the wellness area was good, with an indoor pool and two saunas open. Parking is free and cards are accepted. The city center by the lake is a 25-minute walk away.

The food was a real highlight during my conference weekend at Hotel Kiss. All three meals had a huge selection, from diet-friendly dishes to Hungarian food, with two soups, several main courses, salads, pickles, and pastries that seemed to come from a proper baker. The staff were smiling and helpful, and there was a good daytime buffet too. I hardly left the hotel, so I got to appreciate the room as well. My Superior room was spotless and warm on a rainy autumn weekend. The mattress was comfortable for my aching back, and there were both small and large pillows for my sensitive neck. The winter duvet was too warm for me. I was very satisfied, and pleasantly surprised. Our association plans to come back next year. There’s parking and a swimming pool, and the hotel sits between the "Old" Lake in Tata, with its tourist services, and Fényes Spa, where there’s a walking trail. I managed just two short walks. The little town is lovely, though the railway station looks shabby outside, even if it’s renovated inside.

The staff were really kind and happy to answer questions, and breakfast had plenty to choose from, with some items changing day by day. The rooms look nice and have what you need. I did miss having a kettle for tea, though, and the street noise came through the window quite loudly since it doesn't block sound well.
