Tóparti Camping

We had such a lovely stay at the campsite, and it was open over the Easter holidays, which worked out perfectly for us. The owner greeted us warmly with a welcome drink. The manager was so friendly and even got up early on Easter Monday to open the gate so we could head out birdwatching. We’d be very happy to come back! 😉

Bring plenty of repellent for the evenings. The staff were friendly and helpful 👍, though prices felt a bit high 🤑. There’s no cooking stove, and the beer on tap is Hungarian, so I wouldn’t expect much from it 🤷.

The beach can’t be reached from the campsite, which felt like a scam on its own. The apartments are much too expensive and unbearably hot, and the camping costs far too much for what it offers. For 5000-6000 HUF/night/person, I’d expect toilet paper in the toilets, let alone better infrastructure. The staff were rude and treated me like a burden even though I was a paying customer. I’d look elsewhere, since there are plenty of places nearby.

The campsite had plenty of space and great facilities, and Robi the manager made us feel comfortable and welcome. He was really nice. Honestly, the coffee alone is worth making the trip for. We had an amazing time!
