I’m writing this while relaxing in my hammock at the top of the residence and looking out over Tokaj’s picturesque landscape. I really recommend staying here. Gyorgy and his Dad were great hosts to me and my friend during our holiday. The rented room was clean, had all the necessary utilities, and supplies were replenished quickly. Breakfast was served in a cozy wine basement at the residence. I appreciated being able to email Gyorgy directly and get quick replies before and during our trip. We also received a welcome gift, a bottle of regional wine. I’m very satisfied with the service.

The apartment was roomy and clean, and its location was good. The cellar wine was fine and free, and the price was right. Reception wasn’t very enthusiastic at first, though the staff warmed up to us during our 3 days there. We did sometimes run out of hot water.

The pension is spotless, surrounded by lots of flowers, and very well placed for getting around Tokaj and nearby areas. The owner, his son, and the team were all helpful and pleasant throughout our week. After the long trip, the welcome drink was refreshing, and the shop prices were very affordable. I’d suggest asking them where to go: the owner speaks almost no English, but his son speaks quite well, and they’ll do everything they can to give good advice. I also recommend the wine from the owner’s cellar, a nice way to spend an evening.

We’ve stayed here again and are even more impressed by the family’s kindness, the room quality, and the wines they make. The panzió has also been modernized since our earlier visits, and it’s even more fantastic now. It’s our favorite in Tokaj, even though we know several places. The owners are lovely and friendly, the quality is good, and the location is fantastic for an excellent price. We’ll keep coming back whenever we’re in Tokaj, which is often. Thank you, Dear Friends!
