The apartment had a good location and price, plus a kitchen, balcony and nice bathroom. The bathroom was clean, thankfully, but the rest was pretty disgusting. The balcony was covered in dust and spiderwebs, the AC smelled really bad and barely worked, and the bedsheets were the cheapest I’ve ever seen and had clearly been reused. I asked them to replace the sheets and clean the AC. An employee said they couldn’t find an AC technician, and promised fresh sheets the next day, but that never happened. I know it’s a cheap place and the stuff is cheap, but I’ve never seen such little attention, even in hostels. Staying there felt awful.

The place looked great at first, but we had to change the sheets ourselves. There was nothing extra in the apartment, no soap, shower gel, tea, coffee or anything like that. Nobody answered any of our calls, either. Once it was urgent enough that we could have missed our plane.

The Wi-Fi was great and everything I needed was nearby, but the place was extremely dirty and the staff’s attitude shocked me. We arrived at 1 pm to find reception still closed, waited almost an hour, and then were told our room was still being cleaned. The smell was awful, and I was left alone out on the street. Thankfully, it was eventually sorted out. The way things were run felt stuck in the communist era. Maybe my luxurious Central European ass is too sensitive to conditions in Hungary. Being stingy doesn’t pay off. And about the prices, my advice is never to pay in advance. Once you have, you can’t negotiate for better conditions.

Good value, nice apartments and fast WiFi. There’s covered parking, and it’s close to both the subway and the main railway station, as well as the market.
