We couldn’t order dessert at 8 because the kitchen had already closed. I asked for vegetables and was served salad instead. The restaurant service was awful and unfriendly. We got the impression the server didn’t want to work there.

The garden has an amazing Western feel, and the rooms were fine for one night. We had a birthday celebration here, with loud music and dancing until 3am, but didn’t bother anyone. The prices seemed reasonable to me, too.

The goulash soup tasted like it was just water, and I had a really bad experience. Nobody seemed to speak a foreign language, but the waiter was very good at cheating us. First there was the bill, then the euro to forint exchange rate. I wouldn’t recommend the place and will never stop there again.

The pork tasted only of frying oil, and the beef tartare looked like vomit. The beef was overcooked, the croquettes fell apart, and we waited forever. If that sounds good to you, go for it.

Whenever I travel to or from Budapest, I stop here to eat. I enjoy it every time.
