I can’t say what the accommodation itself is like, because they never took us in. We booked three days and two nights for May 22-24, 2021 through "szállás.hu" back in November 2020. The agency sent confirmation, details about the accommodation, and discount coupons, so we thought everything was set. A week before we were due to leave, we called the owner on Saturday. He calmly and condescendingly said he knew nothing about it and had no reservation for us. The agency told us by phone that they could see our booking and had sent it to the accommodation provider. Their employee asked us to speak to the owner again, but we said we weren’t going to and that they should sort it out with him. On Monday, two days later, an agency employee called to say the reservation hadn’t reached Vác because of a system error. I don’t believe there was any system error. He’d rented the place for 10,000 HUF more than the autumn prices. That’s how the accommodation agent and landlord tricked us. A lesson learned.

From the window you can see the Danube. The owner is kind, and the room was clean, spacious, and well equipped. The location is excellent, and the price was good.

It’s close to everything, and the owner is lovely, a real host! ❤️ But the spot is very noisy, and it’s almost impossible to relax during the festival.

Sunday at 09:15 and I can’t get through to the hotel. The message says they don’t take calls. Well, I’m not sure, so I’m trying to book by email, but no luck. Congratulations on the Hungarian hospitality.
