Polgár Panzió

We came just for dinner and were very impressed. We arrived a little early, around 1600, but they found us a table without a reservation, and our small dog could join us. The service was friendly. We had local wine and food, which came out quickly and was great quality. Prices were very reasonable. We’d definitely come back, highly recommend.

The premium wines were nice, but the rest of the experience wasn’t. We were promised an a-la carte menu, then told on arrival there were only three options. Every main course was pork, with no chicken, vegetarian, or vegan choice. There were supposedly two desserts, but after we ordered, we were told they actually only had one. The food was heavily overpriced and the portions were small. The waiters were rude, impatient, and very unprofessional. When we ordered wine, they didn’t show us the bottles or tell us anything about the specific wines, which is what you’d expect at a wine tasting.

We had a really great time and tasted the weekend’s best wines. The tasting was well organized with a very good selection, and their Chardonnay was one of my favorites. The owner was nice and down to earth, and they also showed us around the wine cellar, which is rare around here.

A pleasant atmosphere, tasty food, and a superb wine collection make this a perfect place for wine lovers. The staff are friendly, and the owner is adorable. Live long and prosper, Mr Polgár! 🍷
