Villa Rosa

The restaurant brought down our stay for me and my family. The food was tasty, but there wasn’t much to choose from at either breakfast or dinner, and breakfast was the same every day. The music in the dining area was annoying and got on our nerves. The hotel has good rooms with air conditioning, which is still a rare thing around the Balaton Region. It’s in a very nice, quiet spot right on the beach, with direct access to the lake. I considered giving four stars, but that wouldn’t have reflected how we felt about the restaurant.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and we had a great stay. It’s a lovely hotel by Lake Balaton in Zamardi, close to both the beach and Adventure Park. Good for families with children, and dogs are welcome too.

The quality was poor for such a high price. The bread was stale, the Wi-Fi was bad, facilities were closed, and our room was dirty. A car from the hotel nearly ran over our child.

It was a quiet, peaceful property with friendly, welcoming staff. Our room was large and had a terrace, plus private access to the courtyard and lake. There’s a small pool, a swimming pier, and loungers for relaxing, so no need to deal with crowded city beaches. Ducks and swans often come by. The parking lot is small, but there was enough space for everyone. For a calm family break, I’d recommend it. Breakfast could use more variety, especially cottage cheese and porridge, the Wi-Fi needs improving, and half the outlets in our room were broken. Zamárdi Adventure Park is nearby across from the train station, and I highly recommend it for families with kids. Grocery stores are within walking distance.
