Rita and Wayan even waited until our car had driven away before saying goodbye, which says a lot about how thoughtful they were. Rita was especially helpful throughout our six days at Balam Villa Bali. When we felt unwell on day three, she went with us to buy vegetables and make sure we got medicine. She also let us use the kitchen and offered eggs, rice, garlic, and seasonings. We were touched, though we chose to buy our own supplies. We’d originally booked a homestay in central Ubud, but the photos didn’t match what we found, so we moved here instead. The villa was spotless and tidy, and the service felt like a five-star stay. Rita answered questions quickly, unlike places where we’d waited days for a reply. It’s about a 30-minute drive to Ubud’s center, and scooter rentals are available if you ask. We’d gladly return. Thanks for making the trip so memorable.

The villa is a bit far from town, but I still give it two thumbs up. I spent three nights at Balam Bali Villa and wasn’t disappointed once. The rooms are roomy, and they have bathtubs. The one beside the dining room is especially spacious, with both a shower and a tub. The pool gets cleaned regularly. There are several breakfast choices, just tell pak Wayan and ibu Putu Nova ahead of time what you’d like the next morning.

My dad built this place and was its first owner, then sold it in 2007. It’s wild how everything still looks the same. Thanks for keeping it in good condition. I’d love to come visit and stay there too 🫶🏻
