Darma Yogi House

The location is great, the grounds are nice and the rooms are spacious. I stayed five nights, but getting help was almost impossible since staff were never at reception. Nobody cleaned our room, emptied the overflowing bin outside it or brought fresh towels. The bathroom wasn’t very clean either, and the shower drain was blocked, so water collected there.

The spacious rooms and attractive outdoor design are nice, and the staff are pleasant. But it was hard to get help because reception was empty most of the time. My room was full of bugs, and cleaning them up took me more than two hours. The bed gave me back pain, and the internet barely worked. They could do a better job with a bit more care.

The one good thing was the location, right in the heart of Ubud. The rest of our two-night stay was a bad experience. There was no receptionist, room service or other hotel staff available when we needed anything, and nobody listened to our concerns. We had to carry our own luggage up a very steep staircase. The Wi-Fi didn’t connect at all during our stay. The room lights were dim, and the fan was slow with no way to adjust its speed. The bathroom was unclean, and the whole place smelled of chlorine. The double bed was small enough that two people couldn’t sleep comfortably.

My friend and I had such a relaxing foot massage. The pressure was just right, and the atmosphere was so soothing we both fell asleep!
