Hotel Everbright Ambon

The rooms were small but clean and okay, and the hotel is right in the city center. The staff didn’t speak English. For the service they offer, it felt pretty expensive.

We booked four executive rooms for two nights, two with ocean views and two with mountain views. The stay was a terrible experience, and I don’t think I’d come back or recommend the place to friends. I hope other guests get better service. Check-in took over an hour. It was already 3:30 PM, but our rooms still weren’t cleaned, and nobody even apologized for the wait. The service and hospitality were below standard. My room had no electric kettle, sugar, tea, or coffee sachets, and my friend’s room had no towel. The executive ocean-view room on the fifth floor didn’t have an ocean view, which was hard to believe. I also gave them the billing details many times, but they kept making me wait and getting the bill wrong. They had to revise it four times. Please improve the quality and service.

For the money, this hotel was poor value. It was badly maintained and dirty, with messy rooms, spiderwebs on my kettle, and dirty sheets. The view from a low floor, below the fifth, was awful too. Breakfast still wasn’t ready at 7:15 AM. The working atmosphere seemed far too relaxed.

It’s easy to find on Google Maps, and the accommodation and service were good. While I was there, the power suddenly went out and took a long time to come back. That needs improvement, but I still had a good experience overall.
