Bamboo Turtles Ecolodge

The hotel is lovely, tastefully built and decorated, and breakfast was good. The staff are kind and seem to care about the guests. I did wake up one night because of a large gecko in my room, though that comes with staying somewhere more natural. I only wish the pool used natural water instead of chlorine.

A humble stay that felt meaningful. Take a look at the guest book if you stay here, it gives you a sense of how thoughtfully the place is built and run. And I loved the shower. Knowing the water is naturally filtered and then absorbed back into the ground was amazing.

Sleeping with the river sounds nearby was so pleasant, and the outdoor rain shower attached to the room was another favorite. You feel tucked away here, even though restaurants and shops are still close. Wayan and the team made us feel welcome and were ready to help with whatever we wanted. We had two massages and a yoga class right on the property, and chose our breakfast each day, made in-house and eaten with a view of the treehouses. There’s also a pool by the river. A lovely little slice of paradise.

The best part of Bambú was Ms Wayan, Ina and the rest of the team. They were always around when we needed something, and talking with them was a pleasure. The ecolodge itself is really beautiful. I already miss my time there, thank you for everything!
