The Natsepa Ambon

Our room was large, fairly clean, and more than adequate. The staff were consistently polite and friendly, and seemed to be doing their best. The rest of the property was disappointing. The grounds had litter and neglected, abandoned outbuildings, while the main building badly needed paint. Along the footpath west of the lobby's north entrance there was no rail or barrier beside a roughly 2 m (6 feet) drop, so be very careful with kids. The small pool bar had very slow service and limited hours, only 16:00-21:00, and the lobby bar never opened. Breakfast had plenty of options, but the cooked food was mostly cold each morning because the warming trays weren't on. The tiny pebbly beach looked so uninviting that we never saw anyone there, although the large pool was busy. I've never been bitten by so many mosquitoes and/or no-see-ums; my legs are covered in red marks. So far I haven't contracted malaria or dengue, and hope I won't. The driver gave us several scares, as if he'd had grand prix training, and the wardrobe hangers were rusty. This place has clearly had much better days.

The junior suites were spacious and clean, breakfast was delicious, and the staff were really friendly. The sea and big garden make the surroundings beautiful. After making the trip all the way to Ambon, I'd stay here and enjoy the setting, away from the busy city center.

The quiet, clean atmosphere makes The Natsepa a nice place to take a break from busy city life. I found it peaceful and beautiful, with the ocean and green hills around it feeling especially calming. The rooms are cozy, the pool is amazing, and the beach is only a few steps away. To me, The Natsepa Hotel & Resort brings modern comfort together with the natural surroundings, and is a place to relax, enjoy nature, and recharge in Ambon.

The WiFi was great. I arrived during a stormy, rainy afternoon and didn't have enough time to look around the room or the surroundings. The heavy downpour in the courtyard was loud enough to come through, so I didn't get much rest.
