Aashaya Jasri Resort

I’d avoid a room directly under another one, since footsteps and conversations from upstairs can get annoying. The resort itself has a lovely atmosphere, tasteful decor, and clean, nicely designed rooms. There are also plenty of creative and spiritual activities, including yoga.

The banana pancakes were delicious, and the staff were really kind and accommodating. The grounds are lush and clearly well cared for. I noticed more plants going in along the walkways as I was leaving. Evenings were quiet, and I could hear the waves at night. I also hired Meggy to drive me on to my next stop. He was great, knew where everything was, and had useful tips.

We stayed three nights and felt very comfortable. The rooms were nice, beds cozy, pillows great, and every area we saw was clean and tidy. It’s peaceful, surrounded by nature and lovely people, and the service was top-notch. The beach is right outside the door. Shops and other activities are a bit far away, but that’s part of why you’d choose this place.

We really enjoyed our three nights here in September. The staff were very helpful, the garden and pool were lovely, and the setting felt private, with what I think were just six rooms. Breakfast and other meals were tasty and reasonably priced. The sea is close, but the area around it was quite dirty and the water was rough, so I wouldn’t count on swimming there. Our room was 1D, on the ground floor of a Tek house with four rooms. It was probably the least quiet option. The beds are right beside the stairs, and we could hear the room next door as well as footsteps overhead. I’d recommend the hotel, but for a quieter stay I’d choose one of the two separate villas or one of the two upstairs rooms.
