The small kids’ corner was a thoughtful extra for us, since we were traveling with children, and the whole property felt comfortable and well cared for. We only spent two nights at Bukit Asri while passing through, but it made such a good impression that even some chain hotels we’ve stayed in around Lombok seem a step below it. It isn’t a new hotel, though it’s exceptionally clean and maintained so well. The compact grounds are colorful and charming, almost like a little Italian courtyard, with everything neatly arranged. The staff were warm and welcoming too. We really enjoyed staying here and would happily come back.

Out on the outskirts of Amlapura, it feels like a lovely retirement in the jungle. The rooms are roomy and very clean, the staff are adorable, and there’s even a cute chess board.

The host was so welcoming and a great guide. He even drove us up to Lempuyang temple at 3:30am, then helped us explore the east of Bali and find a motorbike so we could get around easily. The room was good, and the lodge had a clean, charming feel. I highly recommend it 🤗

It’s a very peaceful spot, and Lempuyang temple is around 20-25 minutes away by car. Our room was clean, the food fresh and delicious, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
