We really enjoyed our stay. There was a restaurant at the villa for breakfast and dinner, which was convenient, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room and surrounding area were gorgeous, with a lovely pool. There were quite a lot of bugs in the bathroom because of the humidity. It’s also a bit out of the way, and Grab and Gojek aren’t common in this part of town, but it was still a great place to stay.

One of our favorite stays in Bali. We spent an hour or two sitting at the restaurant just enjoying the beautiful view. The family were all very friendly and take great care of the gardens. Our room was spacious, and it was fun to experience this style of building.

We were really disappointed with Lumbung Seraya Villa. My wife got food poisoning before we left Seminyak, so for medical reasons we needed to stay somewhere closer to town. We explained the situation, but management wouldn’t offer any flexibility, not even a date change or partial refund. I understand there’s a “no cancellation” policy, and we weren’t asking for all our money back. Still, some empathy during a genuine medical emergency would have meant a lot. It’s hard to feel that a place cares about its guests when there’s no understanding in a situation like this.

What made the stay especially lovely was the host, who was warm, attentive, and made sure everything was taken care of. The freshly prepared food was delicious and full of local flavor. Our cottage sat among lush rice fields, with greenery all around when we woke up and a river flowing just in front. The views were breathtaking. A wonderful place to unwind and feel close to nature.

It’s a good place, but the road down to the villa is really steep. Women riding a bike should be careful.
