Sutanraja Amurang Hotel

It’s just okay if what you want is a hotel in Amurang with a sea view.

I’ve stayed here twice, and nothing seems to have improved. At breakfast the plates, glasses, and spoons were dirty. The room floor felt sticky and smelled musty. I also couldn’t feel sure the room was secure: my friend’s watch went missing while we were having breakfast.

My mom struggled to get out of the car, and the security guard was standing very close by, but just watched us like we were on TV. When we went past him, my mom even said “excuse me” and got no response. I know the pay may be very low, but if you hate the job that much, please quit and be happy instead of making the hotel’s reputation worse. This was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had at a place calling itself four-star. We’d arrived in a public “Mikro” and got out in front of the lobby to check in, but the security guard just sat there looking at us and our belongings. He let us carry everything ourselves, even though we were having a hard time.

My room once lost power, so I called room service to get it fixed. It took what felt like forever, and when I asked to move to another room, they promised it wouldn’t take long. But... yeah. I hope they improve how they manage and maintain this hotel.
