There are plenty of shops, places to eat, and businesses nearby, with galleries, convenience stores, and supermarkets just around the corner. The nearest mall is about a 10-15 minute walk, and the train station is roughly 10 minutes away on foot. The hotel is right in central Yogyakarta. Our room was on the small side, as you’d expect in a city like this, but it felt cozy rather than cramped. It was very clean and had what we needed. When something was missing, room service responded quickly and was helpful. The front desk was efficient every time we stopped by. Check-in took less than a minute, and checkout took only seconds. They also helped us get our bearings in the neighborhood and suggested things to see and do.

For over 500k IDR a night, I expected more. There’s no breakfast included, and the facilities are lacking. The room and furnishings are old, and I found a lot of mosquitoes inside. There’s no water heater for the shower either.

The staff were nice, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you have another option. I was there on New Year’s Eve, and the old hotel really needs a major upgrade. The room was large enough but very dirty, especially the bathroom. The aircon worked well, though its engine was old. Wifi reception was so bad I couldn’t use it, and the breakfast choices were very limited.

The room was small, and the aircon didn’t work properly. At least the hot water was good and the bathroom was clean enough.
