Abian Kokoro

The place was filthy, with ants and roaches everywhere. Floors, bathrooms, sheets, and towels were all dirty. My door was broken, and I was stuck inside with no receptionist to call. The shower barely trickled, then kept cutting out. There was rarely anyone at reception, and when I did find someone, they weren't kind or helpful.

The location was great, and the room and bathroom were very spacious. The air conditioning and fridge both worked beautifully and kept things cold. Staff were polite and friendly, too. But we had to ask each time for the room to be serviced, fresh towels, toilet paper, and water. None of those things were otherwise provided. During our 17-day stay, we left towels on the floor as requested several times and found the same ones rehung. After five days without a change, we finally asked, and towels had to be brought over from another room. The bathroom walls were very unclean, though a long mop and a little soap would have been enough to clean them.

The staff were really nice and let me switch rooms. I started in room #2.6 on the second floor, which had no view and felt damp and old. The sink and toilet water kept running, although the water heater and air conditioning worked well. I moved to room #2.4, with a garden view, and everything worked except the toilet flush. The location is very good, about 100m from the beach, with restaurants and bars nearby and a convenience store within walking distance.

Check-in was easy, but the host was bad and the address on Airbnb was wrong. The place was dirty, with cockroaches and lizards inside, and the pool facilities were dirty too.
