Bumi Ubud Resort

The pool looks out over paddy fields, and the grounds have plenty of room to walk around. Our accommodation was a large, independent villa with its own courtyard and gazebo. We loved the plants and wildlife, and the sounds of birds, insects, geckos and frogs. If you want quiet away from Ubud's crowds and traffic, this is a perfect spot. The staff were kind and helpful the whole time.

The bungalows are small buildings but the rooms inside are huge, with a large bathroom and a clear roof. I loved the lively gardens, full of frogs, birds, bugs and more. The bugs won't bother you. There's a lovely pool looking out over rice fields, and you can even have a massage by the pool. Staff were always smiling, happy to help and made us feel welcome. Outside the hotel, the streets have interesting shops and cheap local restaurants. I even found a fishing shop. A great place to get away from tourist traps and relax.

The location and atmosphere were good, though it's a bit far from Ubud market. The place needs a lot of maintenance. Our air conditioning didn't work properly, so the room felt too humid. The stay was fine overall, but moving the AC would make things more comfortable.

The hotel is beautiful, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. On the day we arrived, they called a car to take us to a restaurant for dinner. Since the hotel is surrounded by nature, I was a little worried about bugs, but we didn't have any unpleasant encounters in the room.
