There were street cats around, and a street dog came into the property during the day. The villa didn't feel very private, though it was still good. Staff were friendly, and breakfast was good, just with very few options. Overall, a good experience.

We found insects in the bed at night and another one in the bathtub. Feeling them crawling in bed in the middle of the night was awful. The pool was dirty, with what looked like fungus beneath the floor. It was a terrible stay, and we had to change hotels midway through our travel plans. If you don't want to sleep with insects like these, don't consider booking this villa.
It's peaceful and quiet in this neighborhood, away from the crowds and noise of central Ubud. The tradeoff is the drive, about 20-30 minutes by Grab car or taxi. A scooter might be quicker. We spent four nights in the two-story villa with its own pool and were very happy there. The villa was roomy, clean, and beautiful inside, with lovely grounds. The air conditioner cooled things quickly. Putu was kind and helpful, and the staff were attentive. Breakfast was just right for us, brought to our private outdoor dining area with several options. We had vegetable omelets, toast, fruit, and coffee or tea. There were room service options too, though we didn't try them. Daily cleaning and bottled water were included. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to come back. Highly recommend it for a quiet break.
The staff were friendly, hardworking, and helpful. The once-a-day complimentary drop-off and pickup was much appreciated, since the place is a little out of the way. Rooms were clean and quiet. The kitchen and cooking facilities are very basic, and the breakfast is too, though it fills you up before heading out to see Ubud. They advertised views of nearby rice paddies, but from the downstairs rooms we couldn't see them because the perimeter wall is so high. You'd need to be a giraffe!
The Wi-Fi was ridiculously slow and kept dropping, and our bedroom and bathroom didn't feel welcoming. Breakfast was basic with little variety. The person at reception who greeted us and showed us to the villa was quite blunt and rude. I was there with my fiancé for a couple of nights. I wouldn't recommend it for couples because it didn't really feel like a private villa. There's no door securing our side, which opens from reception and from the street, so there was no privacy or security. Posting this as an honest review.
