Grandmas Plus Hotel Airport

For an early flight, I needed an affordable place near the airport for my last night, with checkout around 4 a.m. This hotel worked very well for that, and the value for money was incredible. The pool was beautiful and well kept, and the dinner menu at the restaurant was a real surprise. There were lots of choices, from Balinese-style noodles to steak. The pork rib steak was outstanding, as good as at restaurants that specialize in ribs. I also enjoyed the chicken wings and tuna steak. The martini was only average, so I switched to beer. The food was much better than I expected at this price. My room was small and some of the amenities looked dated. The toilet button was hard to press, water pressure was weak, and sometimes it took two flushes. I also had to turn the sink tap very tightly to stop it dripping. These are little maintenance issues that could be fixed. The room had a fairly complete set of amenities, and the staff were excellent, with nothing I could fault. If you're mostly after the pool or restaurant, or just need an overnight stay before a flight, it's a great option. At such a low price for a three-star hotel, the value is excellent. I'd recommend it for a short transit stay.

The breakfast was amazing, and the price was under 2k. Rooms were clean, beds comfortable, and there were all the essentials. Staff were really friendly and helpful, including getting us an early check-in. The room size was somewhere in the middle, and a very good deal for what it cost. It's about a 10-minute cab ride to the airport, since it's not walkable. The hotel has everything you need for a comfortable stay and is genuinely great for the price.

The location is really handy when you're tired from a flight, since it's very close to the airport. The downside is the one-way road running up and down Jimbaran and Kuta. There aren't many chances to make a U-turn, so depending on which way you're headed, you may have to take a 10-minute detour to get back or go where you want. That's just Bali's road design, so I can't blame the hotel. We found the place nicely designed, with clean, cozy rooms and all the amenities. It felt like one of the better places I've stayed on Bali, especially for the price. The staff greeted us warmly, helped with my luggage, and checked that we were okay or needed anything. When we requested extra pillows through their whatsapp service after midnight, they got them to us within minutes. 10/10 for the staff. I'd rate my stay 9/10 and would come back after a long flight or before leaving Bali. Great value.

A lovely surprise was the food from the hotel restaurant, which was excellent and available through room service too. I hear the spa is good as well, though I'll have to post an update about that. The staff were friendly and professional, the rooms sparkling clean, and they had all the amenities I needed, including good Aircon and a smart tv. It made a great first-night hotel near the airport when I arrived in Bali. I enjoyed it so much that I've booked my final two nights here too.
