Jambu Inn

The restaurant on the resort grounds was really convenient, especially since we were new to Bali and wanted somewhere nearby to eat. It faces the beach and serves a good breakfast. The only downside was one restaurant server scoffing at my girlfriend when she ordered an omelette, though that wasn’t the hotel’s fault. The place was clean and quiet even though it’s close to the main road. Staff were friendly and accommodating, and the amenities, price, and location for ferries to Nusa and Lombok were all good. Great for a quick overnight trip, though they also have large villa style stays that looked really nice.

The staff were nice, but didn’t seem very concerned about our worries. The breakfast was almost funny, just a token offering because it was listed on the website, and not worth the money. I’ve stayed in all kinds of places in Bali, and this was the most disappointing. It felt like a 1 star hotel, very dated and not very clean. I don’t know how people rate it well. :-[

Jambu inn is in the same complex as Diwangkara, and I was told it was the house of Diwangkara’s owners. The breakfast service is in the same place as Diwangkara, and it’s quite good. The stay was very cheap, but Jambu inn falls short of Diwangkara, which is a good hotel. There was no soap or shampoo in the room. The towels were torn and discolored, the sheets yellowish, and the floor dusty. The AC didn’t cool properly. If you can afford more, I’d stay at Diwangkara instead.

We booked this small place near the coast to line up our boat from Lembongan with our flight. There’s a little pool that’s enough to cool off in, and the staff are friendly.
