The location and price were great, but the room was disgusting. There were ants everywhere, the drain smell of rot spread through the rooms, and I found used underwear in the bed. The sheets clearly hadn’t been washed after the previous guests. The pool was filthy too.

The room sizes are clearly listed on the booking sites, so I don’t see much point in complaining about the small rooms or basic breakfast at this cheap hotel. It seems to cater to Indonesian holidaymakers, though it was welcoming and there were other tourists too. Not a bad place, just a little off the main tourist areas. My keycard failed once, but it was an easy fix. There are only a few TV channels, with occasional English programs, though most people probably aren’t here for that.

We paid $18 Australian a night for two. It was clean and friendly, and suited us well while waiting for a muting flight. I’d recommend it.

The staff were friendly and accommodated me when I checked in at 1:05am. I gave four stars because I was charged for early check-in, and that fee hadn’t been mentioned online.
