This property forms part of an eco-tourism project with the goal of offering cultural and spiritual holidays while conserving the pristine, unspoilt areas that surround the hilltop village of Munduk. Enclosed by lush, tropical gardens and ponds with views over the green rice paddies, the property consists of a collection of traditional Balinese rice barns transformed into charming cottages. Each cottage features a bedroom with attached hardwood balcony and stairs leading down to a dressing room and garden bathroom. The in-house restaurant serves Balinese, Indonesian and vegetarian dishes. Guests might take a bicycle tour or trekking excursion, or stay at the property for a private yoga class, cooking class, or Balinese dancing class. There is also an onsite spa offering Arathi, foot massages and traditional Indonesian spice baths, perfect for relaxing after a long excursion.

The sunset from here is genuinely breathtaking, and trails to some of Munduk's waterfalls start nearby. The location is amazing. The rooms, though, are supppppper old. In this rainforest area, the windows being poorly sealed with nets is a big problem. My wife was bitten in over 100 places, so the bed probably had bed bugs.

A beautiful area with great views and a good restaurant and breakfast. Our standard rooms were basic but okay. It's a good base for exploring the many waterfalls nearby.

We only popped in for a drink and to pass some time, since we weren't staying there. Inside, there's a Sunset bar set up for watching the sunset, and a woman was making sweet balls and offering them to try for free. The staff were kind and helpful. Reception exchanged our euros for local rupees and gave us a map of a nearby trail with several waterfalls.

I came for three days to stop, relax, and refresh, and that's exactly what I did. The mountain, waterfall, and rice paddy views were amazing. I loved the spa, and being dog friendly made the stay even better. The site dogs behaved well too. Staff were super friendly and attentive, always smiling, and the food was great and came out quickly. I'd recommend it to anyone wanting to fully unwind.

The food was a real highlight. We had amazingly delicious soups, and the other dishes and breakfast were excellent too. The massages were also great quality, with lots of time spent creating a relaxing atmosphere. Our mountain-view bungalow was tucked into the quiet rear part of the complex. Getting there meant passing the hotel's own rice fields and a pond, and the view was lovely both morning and evening. The property sits in the middle of a working plantation and feels close to nature in the best sense. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
