Uppala Villa & Spa Seminyak

We had a fantastic time at the resort. Our separate villa came with its own swimming pool, and the restaurant food with wine was really tasty. A perfect spot for a honeymoon.

My boyfriend and I stayed in villa 139. The place itself is nice, with a minimalist style, a good area, a clean pool, good AC in every room, and two desks. But the service left me feeling terrible, like I was always demanding things. I just wanted what we’d paid for, including hot water, working WiFi, and clean towels. For almost a week we had only slightly warm water. I had to message the manager, Ruby, every day to remind her about fixing it, and she often ignored my messages about other problems too, so I ended up contacting the owner. My request for fresh towels was ignored. The towels they brought were the quality shown in the photos, and the bed linen was just as bad. I still feel awful about the staff’s attitude toward us as guests. Thank you to the owner, who always helped, but Ruby should be ashamed of her work. There were also leaks, with the consequences visible in my photos. The place is nice, but the service needs work.

Be careful if you rent rooms 155 or 154. They’re under separate management and only offer yearly leases. They’ll take your money for the year, then treat you like a dog. You’ll be lucky if the room gets cleaned twice a week. My pool has been green and disgusting for the last 2 months because management doesn’t want to clean it. This isn’t worth the money, so please be careful when renting here.

Avoid staying here. The villas belong to different private owners, and the building maintenance and service are below human standards. Issues aren’t addressed when you report them. There’s mold throughout, and rain leaks through the ceiling. The ground floor has no air-conditioning or working fan. If you care about your health and safety, don’t sign the lease or stay here.
